From Founder to Future: nete2’s Leadership Evolution Takes Shape

Founded in 2000, nete2 began as a video conferencing equipment distributor, quickly establishing itself as a trusted partner for organisations seeking reliable audiovisual solutions. Driven by the ambition and vision of its founder, Mark Chng, the company steadily evolved beyond sales and installation to become a developer and integrator of advanced video and audiovisual solutions. Today, nete2 delivers a comprehensive suite of solutions and serves a growing portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. 

Reflecting on his founding journey, Mark shares that nete2’s progress has always been anchored in a strong value system. “I believe that what has guided us over the years boils down to the values we established — Integrity, Customer Commitment, Innovation, and Trust. These values have brought us to where we are today, and I am confident they will continue to guide the company forward.” 

As he takes a step back, he wishes to express his gratitude to the team for all these years, “Thanks everyone for the support towards me and the company for the past 25 years. I deeply appreciate it.” 

On 16 January 2026, nete2 marked a significant milestone with its first-generation leadership transition. Kevin Chng stepped into the role of Chief Executive Officer, while Mark Chng remains as Founder and consultant to support the company’s continued growth. 

This transition reflects our commitment to staying agile and adaptive in a fast-evolving technology landscape. 

A graduate of the NUS School of Computing, Kevin began his journey at nete2 as a Systems Engineer with a focus on strengthening the company’s cloud expertise. As the organisation evolved, so did his responsibilities — spanning project management, systems engineering, and cloud and security engineering. This breadth of experience has given him a deep appreciation of how nete2 operates at every level, shaping a leadership approach rooted in understanding, collaboration, and a clear vision for the future. 

As nete2 enters this new chapter, the leadership transition represents both continuity and evolution — honouring a strong heritage while embracing new directions for growth, innovation, and market expansion. 

Having worked closely with teams across the organisation, Kevin has developed a strong appreciation for the people behind the company. He believes in seeing individuals beyond their titles — recognising their strengths, challenges, and aspirations. Witnessing the passion within the team has inspired his commitment to building an environment where people feel valued, motivated, and proud of the work they do.
